Shipping an Amazon FBA order involves more than putting products into cartons and sending them to a warehouse.
Before shipment, several details need to be checked together.
For one Amazon project, the customer had already confirmed the product and packaging.
The next step was preparing the bulk order for FBA delivery in the United States.
Before arranging shipment, we reviewed the packing plan.
We checked:
- units per inner box
- units per master carton
- carton dimensions
- carton gross weight
- FBA product labels
- carton labels
- shipping marks
- final warehouse destination
- packing condition before shipment
Carton quantity was especially important.
Packing more units into one carton may reduce the number of cartons and sometimes lower shipping cost.
But if the carton becomes too heavy or too large, it can create problems for Amazon receiving or increase handling charges.
So the goal is not simply:
“How many units can we fit into one carton?”
The better question is:
“What packing method works for the product, shipping cost, and FBA requirements at the same time?”
Before shipment, we also asked the factory to provide photos of the packed goods and labeling so the customer could review the final condition.
Only after the product, labels, cartons, and shipping information were aligned did we arrange the international shipment.
What this case shows
For Amazon sellers, sourcing does not end when production is complete.
Packing, labeling, carton configuration, and warehouse preparation are all part of getting the product ready for sale.
